What are the Center's hours of operation?

We are open Monday-Friday, 7:15am-6:00pm. PLC has four buildings on Graham Road in College Station. 100, 140, 150 & 170 Graham Road. The 100 Graham Road Center provides care for 6 weeks to 23 months old children; 140 provides care for our 3 -5 yr olds and school age children 5-12 years old; 150 provides care for our terrific 2 year olds; 170 will open soon & provide care for terrific 2 year olds.

Do I need to schedule an appointment for a tour?

Parents are welcome to a tour of PLC, with or without their child, with an appointment ONLY. Tours at the center are done after hours or on the weekends.

What is our Learning Curriculum?

We engage the Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum for infants and toddlers. This nearly 20 year-old curriculum is research-based and focuses on detailed support for providing intentional, responsive care. It emphasizes 38 objectives for development and learning, and it also provides support for daily routines and engaging infants and toddlers. Our infant and toddler program also utilizes sign language to promote and encourage oral communication. 

For the 2 to 5 year olds, the We Can Curriculum is a proven system of teaching whereby key foundational skills, language and literacy is the focus of early childhood education. The educational domains addressed by the "We Can" Curriculum include (but are not limited to): literacy, language, vocabulary development, orality, phonological awareness and more. 

What are PLC's child-to-teacher ratios?

Our child-to-teacher ratios may vary but always comply with the Texas State Minimum Standards. PLC prides itself on low child-to-teacher ratios. For more information regarding these ratios, please ask PLC's Director.

Does PLC offer part-time care for children?

Yes; PLC is offers part-time care for ALL ages. For more information regarding part-time care contact the Director.

Does PLC close for holidays and, if so, which ones?

The Center is closed for most holidays; our holiday closure schedule will be posted in advance for convenience. 

Does PLC's childcare program include an educational component?

Yes; our program for childcare is designed to help each child learn, develop and grow necessary skills from infant care up through prekindergarten. For more information regarding the educational component of our program, please visit the Teaching Strategies website & We Can website.

Are meals included for children on a daily basis at PLC?

Yes for an additional cost of 3.75 per meal. The meals provided are Mac n Cheese, quesadillas & rice, chicken nuggets, corn dog or grilled cheese & pizza. Included in tuition is a morning and afternoon snack. If parents do not want to purchase our lunch program they are responsible for providing their child with a lunch. How are food allergies dealt with at PLC?

PLC will make accommodations at the center for any child enrolled with food allergies. Parents are welcome to provide their children with dairy and other allergen-free foods, and we will work to accommodate specific allergies wherever and whenever necessary.

Do children who attend PLC have daily outdoor activity time?

Yes! At PLC, children are given outdoor activity time daily when weather permits. When inclement weather prevents outdoor play, children are given time to play inside in our activity room. 

Are all PLC staff trained in required CPR and First Aid?

Absolutely; PLC requires that all staff members renew and update their CPR and first-aid training every two years. 

What are PLC's tuition costs?

Does PLC have an enrollment fee?

Yes; the enrollment fee for PLC is $200.00 & $70.00 supply fee.
